Around 46,000 students did their English exam today, me being one of them. The English exam sucks; I'm so bad at writing essays 😦 . It was alright, but I screwed up a bit of it. Basically, we have to write four essays — Two text response essays (essays based on texts we read in class), a language analysis piece (analyse the ways language is used in some articles), and a persuasive/opinionative piece. I spent too long on the analysis and persuasive pieces (as these are what I'm good at). I completed one of the text response essays and then noticed I only had like 25 minutes or so to do the last one. So it was horribly rushed and probably quite incoherent 😛

So yeah, I'm soooo glad that exam is now over; it was the one exam I was really dreading. The exams I have left are:

Monday 5th November

3:00 PM–4:15 PM — Specialist Maths Exam 1 (non-calculator)

Friday 9th November

9:00 AM–10:15 AM — Maths Methods Exam 1 (non-calculator)

Monday 12th November

11:45 AM–2:00 PM — Maths Methods Exam 2 (calculator)

Wednesday 14th November

11:45 AM–1:30 PM — Physics

Thursday 15th November

9:00 AM–10:45 AM — Chemistry (ewwww 😛 )

Friday 16th November

3:00 PM–5:15 PM — Specialist Maths Exam 2 (calculator)

So yeah, after that, No more school! On to University next year. I'm hoping that I get an ENTER score above 87, that way I'll get into Computer Science at Melbourne University 😃

*Edit: Some people were asking about the title of this post. It was referring to my MSN Messenger display name, which I had set to "It's Survivor: English Exam Edition. 46000 students, 4 hours, 3 essays. Who will survive?" for a while 😄 *

Well, it's that time of year again: Exam time. Because of this, I won't have much time to work on my websites.

Anyways, the exams I'm having are:

Wednesday 8th November

  • 9:00am - 11:15am: English
  • 1:40pm - 2:45pm: Maths Methods (non-calculator)

Thursday 9th November

  • 11:05am - 12:40pm: Information Systems

Friday 10th November

  • 11:05am - 1:10pm: Specialist Maths (calculator)

Monday 13th November

  • 9:00am - 10:35am: Physics
  • 1:40pm - 2:45pm: Specialist Maths (non-calculator)

Tueaday 14th November

  • 9:00am - 10:35am: Chemistry
  • 11:05am - 1:10pm: Maths Methods (calculator)

The best thing is that once all the exams are over, I don't have any more school 😃

Well, my mid-year exams are now all done. I think that exams are the stupidest thing ever... Whoever invented them should be shot... in the foot 😛

...erm... Yeah, anyway..... For our maths exams (Specialist Maths, and Maths Methods), we have a 2-hour exam where we can use a calculator, and a 1-hour calculator-free exam.

These are the exams I did:

  • English - Bah, the English exam was stupid. We needed to write three essays in two hours! Having said that, I got a B on that exam (and I thought I was going to fail it 😛)
  • Physics - Physics was alright (I quite like Physics). The exam was actually just questions that were cut and pasted from various revision books! I got an A+ on this exam.
  • Specialist Maths - This was hard, it involved maths stuff such as partial fractions, Circle theorems, and other stuff. If there's one maths area I hate, it's circle theorems! Having said that, I got an A+ on this exam
  • Maths Methods - This was easy! Maths Methods is incredibly easy compared to Specialist Maths. I got 97% in the calculator-active test (the highest in the class). This involved stuff like quadratics, cubics, quartics, solving equasions, etc, etc. The overall mark was an A+
  • Chemistry - This was the one exam I was dreading (I'm not really that good at chemistry). Nevertheless, I got a B on this exam (which I'm quite happy with)

Yeah... That's all my exams...

In other news, someone recently spammed the CWH Networks forum:

It took me the whole of 2 minutes to clean all that up. Seriously, when will these spammers learn? Geez! 😄
